Shequille Gayle, Founder & CEO

  • Shequille Gayle is the founder and CEO of SJG Workplace Consulting and Investigations Inc. He is also our lead Workplace Investigator and Consultant. He has an extensive amount of experience conducting legally defensible and trauma-informed harassment, violence and human rights investigations for the Government of Canada and Health Care Networks within the Greater Toronto Area. He is well versed in both provincial and federal legislation pertaining to harassment and violence prevention in the workplace, and also has vast experience working in union and non-union environments.

    In addition to his practical experience conducting investigations, Shequille has an educational background centred around leadership, adult education, workplace learning, and social change. He has delivered training to professionals using the most recent and effective principles around adult learning, and has been effective in identifying environmental and organizational gaps in workplaces that have left them susceptible to incidents of harassment and violence. By using a systems thinking approach, Shequille is able to provide clients with progressive and effective recommendations to prevent harassment and violence as well as sustain a healthy work environment. He is committed to values surrounding procedural fairness, impartiality, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

    • Selected to brief the deputy commander of the Canadian army on the matter of abuse of authority and harassment within the Canadian Armed Forces.

    • Leading the coordination of workshops that focused on bringing awareness to harassment in the workplace within Employment and Social Development Canada

    • Responsible for the ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of procedures and protocols related to workplace investigations for all hospitals under the University Health Network.

    • Nominated for Employment and Social Development Canada's Assistant Deputy Minister’s award for creating and administering training to employees on useful approaches on how to communicate with clients in situations of crisis.
